Finally Found This While On A Errand Run At Target…
Well…. I Couldn’t Wait To Smell This Scent But I Must Say I Didn’t Like It, It Was Very Underwhelming To Me. I Don’t Even Remember What It Was Giving But It Wasn’t Pistachio.

... Read moreIt's funny how a single scent can create so much buzz, isn't it? When I first heard about the EOS Pistachio Crème, my mind immediately conjured up images of warm, nutty goodness, maybe with a hint of sweet creaminess – that perfect, comforting aroma you find in a luxurious dessert or a cozy cafe. I mean, who doesn't love the sound of a 'pistachio perfume' or a 'pistachio body lotion'? The anticipation was real when I finally spotted those familiar light green body lotion bottles with their cute pink pumps on the Target shelf. I grabbed one, picturing myself enveloped in that ideal pistachio embrace.
But here's the thing about scent expectations: they can be wildly different from reality. After trying the EOS Crème, I completely understood what the original post meant by 'underwhelming.' Instead of that rich, authentic nutty essence I was hoping for, it was... well, something else entirely. It lacked that distinctive roasted quality, the subtle sweetness, and the creamy depth that defines a true pistachio fragrance for me. It felt more generic, perhaps a little too sweet, or maybe even a bit synthetic, without any real connection to the delicious nut it claimed to represent.
This experience got me thinking a lot about what makes a 'pistachio' scent truly work. For me, it needs to strike a balance. It shouldn't be overly artificial. You want that gourmand touch – think marzipan or almond, but distinctively pistachio. Sometimes, a touch of vanilla or tonka bean can enhance the warmth, while a subtle green note can add freshness without overpowering the nuttiness. When a product, like this light green lotion, promises pistachio, you expect something that evokes that specific, beloved aroma.
If you're on the hunt for a fragrance or lotion that genuinely captures the spirit of pistachio, my advice is to always do a sniff test if you can. Don't just rely on the name! Pay attention to the top, middle, and base notes. Are there hints of almond, vanilla, or even a subtle woody undertone that grounds the sweetness? A good pistachio scent often has a certain richness that makes it feel indulgent and comforting. It should linger pleasantly without being cloying.
I've learned that sometimes, a "pistachio perfume" or "pistachio eos perfume" might lean into different interpretations of the nut. Some might be brighter and greener, others more dessert-like and creamy. The key is finding one that resonates with your personal idea of pistachio perfection. It's a journey of discovery, and sometimes, it involves a few disappointments like this one. But that’s part of the fun, isn't it? Finding that perfect scent that truly transports you can be so rewarding. What are your favorite aspects of a pistachio scent, or have you ever been surprised by a scent that didn't live up to its name?
I just bought the pistachio and wasn’t a fan either It smells really good in the bottle but when I used it on my skin it smelled nothing like Pistachios I’m definitely giving it away bc it’s too expensive to waste it and going back to my vanilla cashmere
