Thy Will Be Done

Reflecting on my own journey with submitting to God's will, I've realized how challenging it is to let go of personal desires and trust a plan beyond my understanding. Much like the passage from Luke 22:41-43 shows Jesus praying to the Father — asking if the difficult path could be avoided, yet ultimately surrendering to God's will — I've learned that surrender doesn't mean weakness but rather strength and faith. There was a time when I felt overwhelmed by life's uncertainties and wanted control over every outcome. But through prayer and reflection, I found that inviting God to guide my steps brought a deep peace that my own efforts could never provide. Just as the angel strengthened Jesus in his moment of need, I've experienced moments of unexpected strength and clarity when choosing trust over control. One practical way I commit to this daily is by consciously releasing my selfish desires in prayer each morning, asking for God's perspective instead. This mindset shift helps me navigate challenges with resilience rather than frustration. It's a continuous process, and sometimes the struggle to submit persists — but the reward lies in the growth and faith developed along the way. The key is to remain open to God's greater plan and trust that He knows what is best for you.
