For example, anatomy can seem daunting with its vast terminology and detailed structures, but hands-on practice and consistent review helped me retain complex information. Medical-surgical nursing introduced me to real-world patient care scenarios, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and compassionate communication. Pharmacology, perhaps one of the more challenging courses, required not just memorization of drug names and effects but understanding their implications and patient safety concerns. Phlebotomy was a practical skill that built my confidence, allowing me to connect theory with practice. Throughout, I often felt overwhelmed but reminding myself of the end goal—to become a competent nurse making a real difference—kept me motivated.
