It’s Monday… and baby, we did things a little different today 😌

Y’all know I’m usually up and moving like I got somewhere to BE — prayer, Bible study, workout, eat, shower, straight into business 💼💨 But today? I listened to my body AND my spirit… and slowed it alllll the way down.

Still started with prayer & Bible study (because we don’t skip that 🙌🏽), but instead of hitting the ground running, I rolled out that mat and tapped into a little yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️✨

Now listen… I am NOT no yoga guru 😂 so shoutout to YouTube University for clocking in on my behalf! But whew… them 35 minutes of stretching, breathing, and just being still? It gave me EXACTLY what I didn’t even realize I needed.

Sometimes the real strength ain’t in going hard… it’s in knowing when to slow down and reset 🧠💫

If you busy like me (or even if you not), go try you a yoga session. The release, the calm, the clarity after? Baby… that’s a different kind of productivity 💯

So yeah… looks like Mondays might be my “slow start, strong finish” kind of vibe from here on out 😉

Now let’s go make these donuts 🍩💼… holler! 💃🏽

... Read moreStarting my week with a hectic pace felt natural for the longest time—I believed productivity meant non-stop action from dawn until dusk. But recently, after trying a gentle 35-minute yoga session complemented by prayer and Bible study, I found a refreshing change in how I approached my Monday. That mix of mindful breathing, stretching, and spiritual grounding not only helped release physical tension but also quieted my mind, allowing me to reset before diving into the day’s work. The active calories burned during the session might have been modest, but the impact on my heart rate and mental state was profound. With an average heart rate of 77 BPM, I felt more balanced and present, which I realized enhanced my focus and stamina throughout the rest of the day. This blend of slow movement and stillness felt like an unexpected productivity hack that’s about quality, not just quantity, of effort. I used YouTube videos to guide me since I'm no yoga expert, and the accessibility made it easy to incorporate yoga into my routine without feeling overwhelmed. For anyone busy or even someone looking to add a calming practice to their mornings, I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s not just about exercise; it’s a moment to connect with your body and spirit, clear your mind, and prepare for the challenges ahead with a fresh perspective. Since integrating this 'slow start, strong finish' vibe, my Mondays have transformed completely. It’s a personal reminder that real strength also lies in knowing when to pause, listen to your body, and nurture your spirit. If you’re looking to cultivate balance in your own busy life, consider starting your week with some prayer, Bible study, and a little yoga—you might just find a new favorite routine that fuels your entire week.
