Date Night in Chicago
I went on a date to #Thewaterfrontcafe everything about this was amazing, especially to have dinner overlooking the lake. I had a Jerk Shrimp Roll, my date had a lobster Roll. We shared a bottle of #Cabernet and Jerk Nachos which was all very tasty. Raised on the Northside of Chicago this place was very familiar for me so I liked that. This place is actually located at my childhood playground.
My date ended, I decided to stay and explore the comforts of the shoreline. Nothing has changed and I enjoyed gathering small moments and taking photos. I decided to no longer pursue an opportunity with this gentleman because is it me or do all men try to kiss in the mouth and become handsy on the first date these days. I’m getting that a lot and I get easily annoyed with this. I was immediately offended literally because what’s the rush, at least get to know me. That was not his intention so he left, not making a scene thankfully and I was so glad because one of my pet peeves was that he smoked cigarettes and because I kicked that habit a few years ago, I was reminded of the smell that made me quit. This was disappointing. I’m so happy that I spend time getting to know someone before going any further. I even offered to split the bill because I didn’t want to feel awkward. He declined, but insisted on inviting me to go home with him instead. I declined and I’m happy with my decision. Thankfully I come prepared no matter what I’m doing in the city. Are there any mature men still living in Chicago?
