Why do we wait too to change?
For years, I found myself caught in the exhausting cycle of trying to do everything—balancing work, family, and social commitments—only to realize it was unsustainable and damaging my well-being. The 'do-it-all' lifestyle can seem like an expectation, but in reality, it's a trap that drains our energy and mental health. Setting boundaries is often the hardest part, especially when we feel pressured to meet everyone’s expectations. One effective strategy I discovered is breaking down tasks and responsibilities into manageable checklists, focusing only on what truly matters. This shift helped me prioritize my health and reduce burnout by saying 'no' without guilt. If you're feeling this pressure, start by acknowledging that you don’t have to do it all alone or perfectly. It’s okay to ask for help and delegate. Small changes—like carving out time for yourself daily or limiting social obligations—can have a powerful impact. Remember, change can be intimidating, but waiting too long only prolongs stress and unhappiness. The key is to identify the hardest boundaries for you to set and gradually work on them. Sharing experiences and creating supportive conversations around women’s health and burnout can empower us all to make sustainable life changes.
