Somehow I guess thanks to the local comic book shop not too far from us having both of them. They may have spent a small partial amount of money for them. Each one was probably like $14 at most, but they were worth it because after purchasing the first one the Batman three Jokers which I had a lot of interest in it since it's a sequel to The killing joke which I got a couple of Weeks later or month and a half later same price. And as a fan of the Batman series of comics I just had to get these cuz my favorite villain That Batman ever fought was the joker and this was a primarily based on the joker being the center of the plot. I had to get them both even though I bought the sequel before I bought the prequel, but they're both really good books. I highly recommend them to any fans of the Batman series
