This photo was taken 3 days after my dad’s passing. For months I would go through the emotional rollercoaster and waves of losing a parent. I was a daddy’s girl, so the loss was devastating. I work for the military so I don’t often get to visit “home”. This guy, my Walter, could sense my heart break and was my shadow which is what this photo captures. I often call him my emotional support dog because I swear he knows when I’m feeling down or just off. He brought a smile to my face during this trying time and helped me feel better. He is my rock ❤️
