Mediate on the word

Meditating on the Word of God is a powerful practice that can transform how we approach every part of our lives, not just major decisions but even the smallest daily steps. From my experience, asking God for wisdom and understanding before reacting or making choices brings a deep sense of peace and clarity. For example, as highlighted in Exodus 14:14, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still,” trusting in God’s guidance allows us to navigate challenges calmly. One valuable lesson from meditations on Scripture like Psalm 119:125-130 is the importance of intentionally seeking God’s direction and integrity, even when the culture around us may value convenience or popularity over truth. Praying for understanding helps me respond thoughtfully rather than impulsively, which reduces anxiety and stress. Another insight I gained is how compassion should soften our hearts instead of bitterness or judgment, especially when we grieve over sin—not condemnation of others. Letting Scripture influence our emotional responses can lead to healing and stronger empathy. Streams of tears often come from compassion, not bitterness, which has helped me grow personally and spiritually.
