During my visit to the Oregon Coast, staying at Peekaboo Bay’s cottage provided an ideal blend of comfort and proximity to nature. What stood out most was the thoughtful accessibility—spacious, wheelchair-friendly design and a large fenced backyard made it a relaxing retreat for everyone in our group, including our furry companion. For food lovers, the local culinary scene is a highlight. We loved starting the day with a hearty brunch at Yoke, famous for fresh and inventive dishes. Later, hiking the Devil’s Cauldron offered stunning ocean views and an invigorating experience on the Elk Flats trail, perfect for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike. Evenings at Ecola Seafood were unforgettable; their fire-pit dining creates an inviting atmosphere to enjoy freshly caught seafood paired with a crisp Pinot Gris. The restaurant and market, well-known for quality local catches, add to the authentic coastal vibe. A day trip to Cannon Beach gave us classic beachcombing opportunities, incredible tide pools, and the iconic Haystack Rock. Ending our stay exploring Garibaldi’s historic fishing village felt like stepping back in time, with charming shops and the welcoming Portside Bistro serving up fresh seafood fare. For anyone planning a peaceful but adventure-filled Oregon Coast getaway, this combination of scenic lodging, diverse hikes, and delicious local dining offers a genuine taste of coastal life.
