My Story
My name is Richard Mudge, and I’ve been a hustler my entire life — but not the kind most people talk
about. Before any of this — before The Whole Shabang, before TPC, before redemption — I was
wholesaling pounds and pills. Now, I’m wholesaling cases of Shabangs.
I’ve been in professional sales my entire life, but before the business suit, I was in the streets. Through
my incarceration, I lived off the land — making something out of nothing every single day. I started off
doing laundry in Allegheny County Jail — 8D — just trying to make a few soups and a bag of Shabangs
to get by. From there, I ran a prison store, handled people’s clothes, moved products, traded services,
and built systems in a place where most people just tried to make it through the day. From selling candy
and making it myself, to cooking and selling the best peanut butter Oreo fudge at SCI Somerset, I built
an economy out of thin air.
At one point, I was selling four cheesecakes a day, two peanut butter Oreo fudge, helping people get
their GED, teaching three classes, doing law work for guys who didn’t know how to fight their own
cases, and running a full commissary store.
That was my business degree behind bars — learning inventory, accounting, credit, customer service,
and trust when everything was stacked against me. It was also my crash course in leadership and
purpose — learning how to help others stand on their own two feet even when I was still behind the wall
myself.
And when I came home, I didn’t stop. For the last two years, I’ve worked a commission-only sales job,
proving I could thrive on the outside using the same drive, focus, and discipline that once kept me alive
inside.
I’ve been a hustler my whole life — the only difference now is that I went from Satan’s cage to God’s
stage.
That’s the foundation of TPC — Trust, Prayer, and Courage. It’s more than a company. It’s a movement
built by inmates, given back to inmates, and run 100% by people who’ve lived it.
The Most Exclusive Chips in the World
For decades, The Whole Shabang chips were the most exclusive chips in the world. Until 2016, the
only place you could buy them was inside a prison commissary. They were currency, comfort, and
connection — a small taste of freedom that carried more meaning than money ever could. Now,
through TPC Snacks, we’re bringing The Whole Shabang to the streets — not to glamorize prison, but
to transform pain into purpose and give the people who built this brand a chance to profit from it for the
first time in history.
What We’re Raising and Why
We’re raising $125,000 to launch TPC Snacks and TPC.org the right way — built on integrity, purpose,
and sustainability.
• $100,000 will go directly toward inventory and logistics — two full truckloads of The Whole Shabang
chips, packaging, and warehouse staging to meet early demand and secure market share.
• $15,000 will go toward purchasing a box truck for regional deliveries and wholesale routes across
North and South Carolina.
• $10,000 will help launch TPC.org, our nonprofit foundation that provides housing, financial literacy,
and entrepreneurial mentorship for returning citizens.
This isn’t just a company — it’s a blueprint. Your contribution builds product, creates jobs, and fuels real
