A successful career is not an exemption for all of the deficiencies you've been pretending don't exist. Becoming the best version of yourself is something you need to do for yourself, not for a man or someone else. You want to be the type of woman that young women can look up to. We live in a society where most young women look up to women who are sexually explicit, vulgar, degrading, and unethical. If you are a public figure, artist, leader, counselor, lecturer, or advisor, your lifestyle should reflect what you represent. You can't pretend to be one thing while secretly living a whole different life.
Stop protecting an image and learn what it is to be a real woman because behind closed doors the person that is suffering the worst is you. Being real doesn't mean you have to tell all your business; it means that you should tell people the truth without faking perfection. I guarantee people will relate to your struggle, story, and flaws more than the speeches you give.
Being courageous enough to share the truth, without regard for how it will make you look, is how to be real and ethical. Everything is not about money, being successful or an image it's about character, respect and fulfilling purpose. So, don't be frightened to be real. If you walk into a room full of deceptive people, be the one to tell the truth.
In these times we live in people need real whether they like it or not. People may choose not to support you because of the truth you speak but there will be more people who will respect you because of the same truth that some people hate you for.
It's time to quit hiding the parts of yourself you don't like or that are broken. Stop hiding the parts of yourself that you believe are unattractive. We've all experienced low self-esteem and self-pity. Let me be the first to inform you that make-up does not hide flaws or features that you believe are unattractive; rather, it covers the real you. Makeup does not make you beautiful; a woman's beauty comes from her good spirit and not just an appearance.
Hiding behind your career will not change the truth of you needing to improve yourself. You will drive more people away by attempting to drench your mind in your work. Working your way to the top of a company is fine, but it won't solve your problems. Either deal with the problems or let them deal with you.
