Long Day 🫶

1.- Love Cars
2.- Hard Work
3.- Mechanic Girl
3.- Happy Day
It's true what they say, some days feel incredibly long, especially when you're living the mechanic life! But honestly, there's nowhere else I'd rather be. For me, it all started with a deep-seated love for cars. I remember being fascinated by engines from a young age, always wanting to know how things worked. That spark eventually led me to a career where I get to turn that curiosity into tangible action, day in and day out, here at Munoz Auto. Being a 'mechanic girl' definitely comes with its unique set of challenges and triumphs. It takes incredible hard work, not just physically, but also mentally, constantly learning and adapting. There are times when I'm under a hood in my trusty hooded work jacket and beanie, working through a tricky repair, and it feels like the day won't end. But the satisfaction of getting a vehicle running perfectly again, or helping a customer get safely back on the road, that's what makes every bit of effort worth it. And let's not forget the 'mom life' aspect! Juggling wrenches with school runs, and engine oil with bedtime stories, is a daily balancing act. My planner is my best friend! It's about finding that rhythm where I can pursue my passion for mechanics while still being present for my family. It's not always easy, but as a Latina woman, strength and resilience are part of my heritage, and I draw on that every single day. Beyond the garage, I'm just Lora – a makeup junkie who loves experimenting with new looks, a cat lover with a furry crew at home, and someone who finds pure joy listening to 70s music while unwinding. Sometimes, even an anime character makes a cameo on my jacket! These little pieces of my personality help me stay grounded and remind me that even though my job is intense, there's always room for my personal passions. For any other women out there considering a career in mechanics, or any male-dominated field, I say go for it! Don't let stereotypes or doubts hold you back. Find what you love, put in the hard work, and embrace every 'happy day' – even the long ones. The automotive industry needs more diverse perspectives, and your unique skills and passion are invaluable. It’s a truly rewarding path, making a real difference one car at a time.
