私が毎年いちばん悩むのが、「お札を三つ折りにするのはアリ？」「向きはどっち？」問題。お年玉やちょっとしたお祝いって、金額より“受け取った時の印象”が大事だなと感じるので、ここは丁寧にしています。 まず、お札三つ折りのマナーとしては、ポチ袋（小さめの袋）に入れるために三つ折りにするのは一般的でOK。ただし、折り目が強すぎたり、ぐしゃっとしていると生活感が出やすいので、できれば新札か、なるべくきれいなお札を選ぶのが安心です。年末の両替は混むので、私は12月上旬くらいに早めに行くようにしています。 次に「縁起のいいお札の折り方」として意識しているのは、“顔（肖像）が内側で守られるように折る”こと。地域や家庭で考え方はありますが、私の周りではこの折り方が多く、受け取る側も違和感が少ない印象でした。折る時の目安は記事内の通りで、新紙幣も旧紙幣も基本は「印刷の目印（飾り・端）」を基準にするときれいに揃います。 ポチ袋への入れ方は、迷ったら「ポチ袋を表に向けた時に、お札の顔も上を向く」ように入れると失敗しにくいです。実際、渡す瞬間に相手が取り出した時も見た目がきれい。硬貨を一緒に入れる場合は、植物や建物の面が上になる向きにそろえると整って見えます（これも家庭差はありますが、私はこの向きに統一しています）。 「1万円札 折り方 金運」みたいな話も気になるところですが、結局いちばんの金運は“丁寧さ”だと思っています。折り目がズレている時は、クッキングペーパーに挟んで軽くアイロン（ヘアアイロンでも）を当てると戻りやすいです。ただしホログラム部分は熱に弱いので、必ず避けるのがコツ。 最後に、お祝いお札入れ方の注意点として、香典（不祝儀）と混同しないこと。お年玉・お祝いは明るい向きでそろえて、ポチ袋もできれば新品を。渡す直前にバタバタしないよう、私は「折る→入れる→予備のポチ袋も一緒に準備」までセットでやっています。これだけでお正月の慌てがかなり減りました。
