うちは普段は木製（ウォールナット）をオイルでお手入れしていますが、検索でよく見かける「テーブル 穴埋め」や「大理石 つや出し ワックス」「こたつ 脚 ネジ 修理」も、年末に一緒にやると気持ちよく新年を迎えられました。 ■テーブルの穴埋め（木製） 小さな凹み・ネジ穴っぽい跡は、オイルを塗る前に埋めるのがきれいに仕上がります。私は「木部用パテ（補修材）」を使いました。やり方は、①薄めた中性洗剤でしっかり拭き取って乾かす ②穴にパテを少しずつ押し込む ③ヘラで平らにして乾燥 ④乾いたら木目に沿って軽く削って段差を消す ⑤硬く絞った布巾で木屑を拭き取る ⑥専用のオイルを塗り込む→余分を拭き取って乾燥、の流れ。ポイントは「盛りすぎない」「完全乾燥してから削る」です。色が気になる場合は、補修材の色を天板に寄せると目立ちにくいです。 ■大理石のつや出しワックス（注意点あり） 大理石は酸に弱いので、クエン酸やお酢系で拭くのは避けています。基本は中性洗剤を薄めて拭き、最後に水拭き→乾拭き。つや出しを狙ってワックスを使うなら、“大理石対応（天然石対応）”の表記があるものだけにしています。目立たない場所で試して、ムラが出ないか確認してから全体へ。私は「塗ってすぐピカピカ」より、乾拭きを丁寧にしてツヤを戻す方が失敗しにくいと感じました。 ■こたつ脚のネジ修理（グラつき対策） 冬に増えるのが、こたつ脚のグラつき。まずはネジを一度外して、ネジ山が潰れていないか確認。木側が痩せて空回りする時は、穴に木工用ボンド＋つまようじ（または割り箸の削りカス）を詰めて乾かしてから締め直すと効きました。金具が曲がっている場合は無理に締めず、ワッシャー追加や部品交換の方が安全です。 最後に、木製天板の仕上げはやっぱり「木目に沿って削る」「余分なオイルを拭き取る」「しっかり乾燥」がいちばん効きます。少し手間でも、年末にやると達成感がすごいのでおすすめです。
