Self Care doesnt just stop in Winter
Part of just being not giving a flying flip what other people think is putting on my gel patches for underneath my eyes in the winter while I’m waiting for the bus at night in public ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. 🤣 because why not?
Many people think self-care is just a seasonal focus, often ramping up in winter due to the harsh weather and dry skin concerns. However, true self-care is a year-round commitment that supports both your mental and physical health. For example, using gel patches under your eyes isn’t just about skincare but also a small act of kindness towards yourself that promotes relaxation and boosts confidence. Taking care of your skin and mental health in public spaces, such as waiting for a bus at night, reflects a self-assured attitude and defiance of social pressures about appearance. It encourages embracing routines that make you feel good, no matter where you are or what others might think. This mindset is empowering and helps develop a stronger self-image. In addition, incorporating self-care rituals throughout the year, like hydration, moisturization, and mindfulness practices, can prevent burnout and help manage stress levels more effectively. Whether it's winter or summer, these habits contribute to overall wellness. Remember, self-care isn’t only about the products or activities themselves but about honoring your needs and prioritizing your happiness consistently. So, don’t hesitate to keep up your favorite rituals like gel patches or any comfort practices beyond winter. Your well-being deserves that commitment every day.
