Things i wish i was told as a freshman
Starting your journey as a freshman can be both exciting and daunting. It’s important to remember that building friendships takes time; initially, you might feel lonely or overwhelmed, which is completely normal. Many students experiment with different study techniques to find what suits them best. Whether it's studying late at night or engaging in group study sessions, you must find your rhythm. Health should be a priority; maintaining good nutrition and managing stress can significantly impact your college experience. While it's okay to have late nights occasionally, consistent sleep deprivation can lead to burnout. Being aware of toxic relationships and learning to set boundaries is crucial for emotional well-being. The feeling of being an imposter is common among many freshmen. Remember, everyone has their struggles, and it’s okay to seek help or talk to peers about your experiences. Celebrate the good days and create moments of joy, even amidst the challenges. College is a unique opportunity, and appreciating every experience, including the tough ones, will enrich your journey.
