Sprinkler was somehow on, and I got this waterfall of ice effect. It has to be really, really cold here in the south for it to do something like this.

Besides protecting your system, you should also be cautious about walking near or on these ice formations created by frozen sprinklers to prevent slips and falls. If you notice ice buildup on your sprinklers, it’s best to gently remove it once temperatures rise above freezing to avoid damage. In regions where cold weather is an anomaly, awareness and preparation can save homeowners from costly sprinkler repairs and hazardous ice-related accidents.
