be kind to yourself mama, ❤️❤️🩹
5 months PP!
It's completely normal to feel like your body has transformed in ways you didn't expect after having a baby. At 5 months postpartum, I found that embracing these changes with kindness and patience was key to my emotional and physical recovery. I remember seeing notes like “It’s ok to look like you had a baby after having a baby,” which really helped me shift my mindset away from unrealistic expectations. Getting back into running postpartum is a personal journey. Listening to your body and gradually increasing your activity has been essential for me. I started with light walks and slowly introduced running intervals as I felt stronger. This approach helped me rebuild endurance without overwhelming my body. Self-compassion plays a huge role in postpartum wellness. Celebrating small victories, like completing a run or simply feeling energized, reminded me that healing isn’t linear. Surrounding yourself with supportive communities, both online and offline, can offer motivation and understanding. Remember, being kind to yourself isn’t just a feel-good phrase—it’s a necessary part of your postpartum journey. Your body has done something amazing, and giving it love and patience will foster both physical recovery and mental well-being during this special time.
