Growing up in a household where your parents never showed up to school events because they had to work can leave a profound emotional impact. I experienced this firsthand—as a child, watching other parents cheer from the sidelines, while mine were absent due to their responsibilities. It wasn’t easy, but I understood their hard work was for our better future. Now, as a parent myself, I’ve made a committed choice to show up for every event I can.
