Let’s Make Sugar Cookie Cups
These sugar cookie cups are quick and easy to make!
All you have to do is roll the cookie dough into balls and place each of them in a mini muffin pan. I baked them for 10 minutes and then used my mini rolling pin to press into each cookie to create the cup shape. I then baked the cookies for another 4-5 minutes. Once the cookies have cooled down, you can pipe icing in them and decorate them however you like!
Here’s the recipe I used for buttercream frosting:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened (I used salted and I only let the butter sit out for 5-10 minutes max)
- 2-3 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1-2 Tablespoons milk (as needed)
Directions:
1. Add butter and vanilla to your mixing bowl and mix those together.
2. Scrap the sides of your bowl and then begin to add in the powdered sugar.
3. Mix the powdered sugar with the butter and vanilla and add in 1-2 Tbsp of milk as you continue to mix the icing. (If the icing is too thick, add a tiny bit more milk. If the icing is too thin, add a little more powdered sugar).
4. Once your icing is the desired consistency, you can fill up a piping bag (or ziplock baggie) to begin decorating your cookies.
Everyone really enjoyed these cookies and I’ll definitely be making them again. Let me know if you’ve ever made these before!
