From my own experience, the journey from pre-testosterone (Pre-T) to where I am today has been filled with both challenges and incredible growth. One thing I’ve learned is the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people who always tell you that you are valid and worthy, no matter what stage of your transition you are in. Reflecting on the notes I kept – like 'GIRL BUT I HOPE' and 'THINGS J.PON',' – I realize how much hope and uncertainty coexist in the early days of transition. It’s common to have fears about how others perceive you and how you perceive yourself. The key is to stay true to your feelings and allow yourself the grace to evolve. If you’re at the pre-T stage, focus on self-care and mental health as much as physical changes. Keep a journal or notes on your thoughts and desires; these personal reminders can be empowering. By SEP 13/2024, when I looked back at my earlier self, I could see how far I’ve come, not just in physical changes but in confidence and self-acceptance. Remember, transition is not just about external changes but about embracing your authentic self every day. Lastly, never hesitate to reach out to others in the community, whether through social media or local groups. Sharing stories and hearing others’ experiences can be incredibly uplifting during your journey.
