The float was soo good! I got it at an Asian fair and had to go back for more. The flavors I remember they had are, Thai milk tea, matcha, and ube! All flavors that I love so my friends got one of each and we tried each other and they were all delicious!! Definitely recommend!
Funny Story: This is the picture of the float I dropped😭
After receiving my float, I, with grave excitement, removed the top to devour just a little bit of the ice cream.Little did I know the horror that was to follow! As I gracefully and cautiously placed the top back on, the boba slipped! Moving faster than light itself, it SPLATTERED everywhere!! Embarrassed 🙈 I apologized profusely. Fortunately for me, the workers were really nice and even made a joke or two about it. As I was leaving, still feeling flushed with embarrassment, the guy shouted “come back soon!”To which I replied “I will and I promise not to spill anything this time!” He chuckled as I raced out the store with a new boba float in my hand.
After my incredible experience with the ube boba ice cream float at Smoove Ice Cream, I've become even more obsessed with Ube! For those who might not know, Ube is a purple yam from the Philippines, and it has this unique, slightly nutty, vanilla-like flavor that's just divine. It's become super popular in desserts, and for good reason. My float, with its vibrant purple drizzle and chewy boba pearls, was the perfect introduction to this amazing flavor. It truly elevated the classic ice cream float to a whole new level, making it a must-try for anyone looking for a refreshing and unique sweet treat. The combination of creamy ube ice cream melting into the drink with the delightful texture of boba is just heavenly. If you're like me and always on the hunt for 'ube ice cream near me' or want to try diverse 'ice cream floats', places like Smoove Artisan Ice Cream are a true gem. They really know how to craft a memorable dessert experience. Beyond their incredible ube, I've heard they even experiment with some wild flavors! It's fascinating to see how they innovate. Did you know they had a 'Cheeto (Cheese)' flavored ice cream? It makes you think about how creative you can get with floats! While my current go-to is definitely the ube boba ice cream, you could easily create your own delicious floats at home. Imagine a classic '7 up ice cream' float with a scoop of your favorite vanilla, or for something more adventurous, trying to replicate that creamy ube flavor with simple 'ube ice cream ingredients' like ube extract, condensed milk, and a good base. It's all about exploring new tastes and textures to find your perfect 'ice cream in a cup' experience. Speaking of ube, it's not just for floats! Traditional ube desserts like ube halaya (a jam) or ube dango (mochi-like balls) often inspire these modern creations. The richness and natural sweetness of the ube really shine through, making it a versatile ingredient. If you're visiting Smoove or any local ice cream parlor, definitely check out their full range of unique flavors. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new, whether it's another boba float, a traditional ube dessert, or even a scoop of their more adventurous options. It's a great way to discover your next 'cookie craze ice cream' obsession or just enjoy a wonderfully refreshing treat on a hot day. The joy of finding a truly delicious 'ube float' is something I highly recommend experiencing!
