So many of us get stuck in the endless cycle of losing weight only to gain it all back. I was there, and it was incredibly frustrating! My journey to losing 20lbs and keeping it off permanently wasn't about deprivation or grueling gym sessions, as I learned to lose 20lbs without going on a diet or spending hours at the gym. It was about a total mindset shift that made the process genuinely enjoyable and sustainable. First, let's talk about ditching the 'diet' mentality. For years, I jumped from one fad diet to another, always feeling restricted and eventually giving in to cravings, which led to guilt and regaining weight. What truly worked for me was focusing on nourishment rather than restriction. Instead of cutting out entire food groups, I learned to incorporate more whole, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats. It wasn't about 'never eat bread again,' but rather 'choose whole-grain bread more often.' This subtle shift made food feel like an ally, not an enemy. I started intuitively eating, paying attention to my body's hunger and fullness cues, which was a game-changer. And those cravings? They used to be my downfall. But I realized that completely denying a craving often led to overeating it later. My new approach was simple: if I craved something, I’d have a small, mindful portion of it. A square of dark chocolate, a small handful of chips – enjoying it without guilt. This took away its power. When you know you can have something, the urge to binge often lessens. This mindful indulgence helped me feel satisfied and in control, preventing those notorious 'cheat days' that often derailed my progress. Consistency, as I mentioned, is absolutely key, but it doesn't mean perfection. I used to think if I missed a workout or ate something 'bad,' my entire day was ruined. Now, I embrace consistency in small, manageable steps. A 5-minute walk around the block is better than skipping exercise entirely. Doing a quick 10-minute bodyweight routine at home when I couldn't make it to the gym still counted. It’s about building habits that you can stick with *every single day*, even when life gets chaotic. These small, consistent efforts compound over time, leading to significant results without feeling overwhelmed. You definitely don't need to be spending hours at the gym to see progress. This approach helped me not only lose 20lbs but also maintain it effortlessly. It's about building a lifestyle that supports your health goals, rather than fighting against your body or enduring temporary hardships. It's truly liberating to achieve your weight loss goals by listening to your body and adopting a balanced, forgiving approach. I hope sharing my experience helps you find your own sustainable path to feeling amazing!

Thank you for the 5 minute workout comment. I found some 7 minute workouts that I’m trying. I just can’t stay consistent doing 30 and 45 minute ones. I feel the 7 minute will be much easier for me to stay at doing them daily.
