... Read moreMy recent Goodwill find was such a thrill, and it got me thinking about why thrifting for brands like Vera Bradley is just the best! You know that feeling when you walk into a thrift store, and your eyes finally land on that perfect item? That's exactly how I felt spotting my black and white Vera Bradley handbag. It really makes you appreciate the hunt, right? Finding a quality Vera Bradley bag, especially a handbag, at Goodwill for such a low price is like hitting the jackpot. These bags are known for their vibrant, often whimsical patterns and durable quilted cotton fabric. It reminds you of Vera Bradley's rich history and how they really lean into those distinct, eye-catching designs – you could say they're always going back to their whimsical roots even with new collections. The unique patterns are what make a 'Vera Bradley person' stand out, whether you love the classic florals or something more modern. I even saw another beautiful floral patterned bag while I was there, which just proves the variety you can find! If you’re hoping to score your own Vera Bradley treasure, here are my top tips for navigating Goodwill for bags. First, always check the condition. Look for sturdy zippers, intact stitching, and minimal wear on the handles. A little dirt or a minor stain can often be cleaned, but tears are usually a deal-breaker. Don't forget to glance at the price tag – getting a high-quality handbag for just $12.99, like mine, is incredible value! Once you bring your new-to-you Vera Bradley bag home, a little TLC goes a long way. Most Vera Bradley quilted cotton bags are machine washable on a gentle cycle with cold water, which is amazing for refreshing a thrifted find. Just air dry it, and it'll often look brand new! This is super important if you plan on using your 'goodwill bag' for everyday essentials or even as a chic companion for your journaling adventures, like I am. What I love most about Vera Bradley, beyond the patterns, is their versatility. While my find is a perfect handbag for my journaling kit, many of their larger totes and duffels can pull double duty. They make fantastic, stylish reusable shopping bags for groceries or market hauls, or even a weekend getaway. So, even if you’re looking specifically for a 'vera bradley reusable shopping bag,' keep an eye out for their spacious totes at Goodwill – you might find a gem that serves multiple purposes! And of course, one of the most fun parts? Personalizing your find! I'm already envisioning all the cute charms and keychains I can add to my new Vera Bradley. It's a simple way to make a thrifted item truly your own and express your unique style. Happy thrifting, everyone – you never know what amazing deals are waiting for you!
