June Annual leave starts today🍋

🤍🤍🤍 My leave starts today.. Let's plan for a 7 days schedule. Recovery, prayers, get fit by running & fill my time by reading books. Let's see how I train my mind these days. Or am I always on my phone device, watching Netflix.... 🪽🤞🏻🤌🏼

I usually start by focusing on recovery—allowing my body to heal and regain strength, especially if I've been feeling run down. Incorporating prayer or meditation sessions helps me center my thoughts and foster inner peace. Fitness is another key component of my leave plan. Running not only boosts my physical health but also improves my mental clarity by releasing endorphins. Even a few short runs throughout the week can make a significant difference. I always set aside dedicated time for reading. It’s a wonderful way to feed my mind with new ideas and perspectives. Whether fiction or non-fiction, books can be both relaxing and enriching. One challenge during breaks is avoiding the temptation to endlessly scroll on phones or binge-watch shows. I try to limit screen time intentionally, replacing it with mindful activities that stimulate creativity and personal growth. Overall, planning my leave allows me to return to daily life refreshed, healthier, and more focused. If you’re gearing up for your own time off, consider mixing rest, fitness, spiritual practice, and learning to make the most of your break.

😩 Why a slow-life is impossible in Singapore 🇸🇬
I’ve always felt a disconnect being a Singaporean. Because the life I want — slower, simpler, more free — often feels out of sync with the culture I grew up in 😩. 🇸🇬 Singapore can offer stability, safety, efficiency, opportunity — but it can also feel intensely optimised around performance:
