It’s so much fun connecting with fellow gamers on the Nintendo Switch! If you're new to the Switch community or just looking for more friends to play with, you might be wondering how to find your own Friend Code or add others. I remember when I first got my Switch, it took me a little while to figure it all out, so I thought I'd share some tips from my own experience! Finding Your Nintendo Switch Friend Code: It’s actually super easy! From the HOME Menu, select your user icon (it’s usually in the top-left corner). This will take you to your User Page. On the left-hand side, you'll see a menu. Select 'Profile,' and your Friend Code (it starts with SW-) will be displayed right there on the screen. Mine is SW-0315-7929-9588, as you can see in my profile picture! It's unique to your user account, so you can share it with friends so they can add you. How to Add a Friend Using a Friend Code: Once you have someone's Friend Code, adding them is just as simple! From the HOME Menu, select your user icon. On your User Page, select 'Add Friend' from the left-hand menu. Choose 'Search With Friend Code.' Enter the 12-digit Friend Code, and then select 'Send Friend Request.' It's really that straightforward! They'll get a notification, and once they accept, you'll be connected! Accepting Friend Requests: You'll get a notification on your HOME Menu if someone sends you a request. Just go to your User Page, select 'Add Friend,' and then 'Friend Requests' to see and accept them. It’s always exciting to see new requests pop up! Why Connect with Other Switch Players? Having friends on your Nintendo Switch opens up a whole new world of gaming! You can: Play together: Many games, like New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or Splatoon 3, are so much more fun with friends. You can invite them to join your game directly from your friend list. Share game recommendations: I’m always looking for new games to try, just like I asked in my original post! My friends often introduce me to hidden gems. See what your friends are playing: It's cool to see what games everyone is into and sometimes sparks an idea for your next purchase.
