New You
Hello lemon8, this entry will be long.
Let me reintroduce myself, my name in Jinn’a pronounced Janae. I’m a 40 year old single woman from the wonderful city of Detroit, Michigan. Later I’ll explain why I love this city but for now I’ll tell you about me. I’m a daughter of two spiritual leader parents who taught me faith over anything. God will provide. I’m the middle child of 7. My siblings are the best in the world. If the first 4 are together people admire the respect we have for each other. We never allow outsiders to see the hard stuff but they see the respect we have for each other. My oldest brother who is not around is my only issue. Because he wasn’t in the house with us it’s hard for me when he says he’s my oldest brother. Yeah that is true however my oldest brother name is Charles he was the one that sacrificed his teen years to help my parents raise us when they went through relationship issues. He was the person who sacrificed his childhood to help us. So I can’t give someone that respect when that hasn’t earned it.
At 40, I reflect on my life as a middle child in a large family, growing up in the vibrant city of Detroit. The strong values instilled by my spiritual leaders, my parents, have been pivotal in my journey. Understanding faith as a guiding principle has helped me navigate personal challenges, particularly my relationship with my oldest brother, Charles, who played an essential role in our upbringing. This experience sheds light on the complexities of family dynamics and the sacrifices that often go unseen. Moreover, Detroit's rich cultural backdrop has fueled my appreciation for the unique stories that our communities hold. The respect we uphold within our family, despite our struggles, is a testament to the resilience we share. It reflects on the importance of community support, where faith and love often shine through adversity. Join me in exploring not only my personal narrative but also how these stories resonate with many who have walked a similar path.
