Photos that Agencies Ask For
Hi! I’m Nai’a and have been a model pretty much since the day I was born 😅 My point is I have tons of modeling experience. I have worked with multiple agencies and have had people ask me how I got into it or what they would have to do to get into it. So here’s the first step, photos.
You’re going to need current photos. You don’t have to spend so much money on a photographer. You can take your own with your phone (like I did here). You can either get a friend to help or even a family member. If you don’t have those on hand, then there are many ways of taking your own photos.
I would also recommend checking the agencies website to see exactly what it is they are looking for (you don’t want to send too many photos!), but the photos here are typically what most agencies look for. I would still do your due diligence and research. You’re a professional and all professionals do research!

Lighting plays a critical role in capturing great photos. Natural light often works best, but ensure it’s not too harsh, as shadows can obscure details in your photos. Lastly, practice different poses in front of the camera to find what works best for you and to make sure you feel comfortable when being photographed. By following these suggestions, you can create a portfolio that will catch the attention of agencies and set the stage for a successful modeling career!
