Lemon8 Banned me!!

About three weeks ago I woke up and did my normal checking notifictions routine. When I got to my lemon8, I noticed I was signed out. I tried to sign back in but was told my account was banned for going against community guidelines. It took 3 weeks to get a response from their support center. Not even- they never actually reached back out. I immediately appealed it because all I do is post to promote my business!

They said my tiktok might be banned too but that wasn’t the case. All of my other socials are in good standing so not sure what happened.

When I finally got back into my account last night, my notifications made it seem like someone went and reported each post individually.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I also noticed that when i linked my tiktok to my lemon8, none of the followers came over either. One of the Lemon8 ads shows a girl dancing with the caption along the lines of “this hack helped me get 1k followers on lemon8 before even posting” something like that. but that hasnt happened either…

I was asked to join the creator program and didnt hear from Lemon8 for 3 months. When I finally did get an email, I had to fill out a document, share some links and respond to an email. After I did that, I kept getting bot replies to remember to submit by 7/15 for the deadline. I had submitted it multiple times with no changes and still havent heard from them.

Anyone else having trouble with Lemon8?? I’m quickly becoming less and less a fan of this platform.

... Read moreWow, reading about your Lemon8 ban experience really hit home! It's so frustrating when you pour your time into a platform, especially for your business, and then something like this happens out of the blue. It makes you wonder, 'Is Lemon8 banning accounts left and right?' I've seen so many posts lately about creators having issues, and it's not just about getting banned. Some are dealing with content not performing, others are struggling with the creator program, just like you mentioned. It definitely feels like there's a lot of confusion around how Lemon8 operates its moderation and support. If your Lemon8 account is ever banned, or if you're worried it might be, here's what I've learned from my own research and what others have shared. First, the most common reasons for a Lemon8 ban often revolve around their Community Guidelines. These can include things like spamming, posting content that's not original or doesn't meet their quality standards, or sometimes even overly aggressive promotion of external links or other social media, even if it's for your business. It's super important to give those guidelines a thorough read, even though they can be a bit vague sometimes! When you're hit with that 'banned' message, it can feel like a punch to the gut. The first step is always to appeal the decision. In your case, it sounds like support was incredibly slow and unhelpful, which is a common complaint. Many people suggest sending polite but persistent follow-up emails. Keep records of all your communication and any proof you have that your content adheres to the guidelines. Screenshots of your posts, or even if your content is similar to other popular creators who haven't been banned, can be useful. It's like building your case! Another thing I've noticed is that sometimes bans can be triggered by mass reporting, as you suspected with your notifications. It's a tough situation because it's hard to know who or why someone would report your posts individually. Some users even speculate that linking too many external platforms or having inconsistent content (like suddenly posting about something completely different) might trigger their automated systems. Let's also talk about the 'is Lemon8 getting banned' query people have. It's interesting how many search for that, probably confusing individual account bans with the app itself being removed. As far as I know, the Lemon8 app itself isn't officially banned anywhere, but these individual account issues definitely spark concern about the platform's stability and user experience. It makes you question if it's a reliable place to invest your time and effort for business growth. Finally, for anyone struggling with the creator program, like you did, it seems to be a common bottleneck. Getting clear communication and timely responses can be a battle. My advice? Keep documenting everything – every email, every submission. And explore other platforms simultaneously. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, especially with newer platforms still finding their footing. It's all about diversifying your online presence. It's a journey, and we're all just trying to figure out the best ways to navigate these ever-changing social media landscapes! What are your thoughts?
