The temple of Sri Maha Uma Devi (Guest Temple, Wind) is an old and very sacred Hindu deity. It is the enshrine of Our Lady Si Maha Uma Devi, as well as many important deities such as Ganesha, Sathkumar, Shiva, Vishnu and Lakshmi.

• On-off time:
• Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
• Friday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday-Sunday: 06: 00-8: 30 p.m.
• Location: Wind Road, intersecting with Moulding Road, Bang Rak District, Bang Rak District, Bangkok
🚊 Travel (most convenient with public cars)
• BTS: Get off Saint Louis Station (Exit 3 or 4) and walk 300-400 meters down Wind Road or down Nontree Channel Station and then on a motorcycle.
• MRT: Get off, wind station (Exit 2), then connect bus line 15, 77, 115, 514 or take a motorcycle / taxi down in front of the temple.
• Private car: Not recommended because there is no parking space inside the temple and the wind road is quite difficult to find parking space (if you need to bring a car, you may need to park at a shopping mall or nearby private building and walk)
🌸 The procedure of worship and worship inside the temple.
1. Buy a set of offerings: Buy a tray of finished offerings for 60 or 100 baht (or a large set based on faith) at the counter of the inner temple.
2.Light the candle incense outside: Bring the incense and candles in the set to light the pots on the outside area in front of the church. Pray the mind to be neat (inside, do not light the fire).
3. Inside the church: Hold the tray of offerings inside. Follow the row to bring the tray to the Brahmin for the ceremony.
4. Receive Forehead Anointing: The Brahmin will bring us offerings to the Lord and pray for the ceremony, and then the Brahmin will put a red or white dot on our forehead to bless.
5.Get Thip Home: Brahman will return some of the items in the tray (such as fruit, milk or flowers) for us to take back to eat or worship for auspiciousness.
⚠️ Important Prohibitions and Practices
• Abstain from meat: No food containing meat of any kind shall be brought into the district of Devasthan (the offerings shall be fruit, milk, sweets, or flowers only).
• Dressage: Dress politely, shirt with sleeves, pants or knee-length skirt (avoid single strings, strings or shorts)
• Prohibition for women: According to Hindu beliefs, women with menstruation should refrain from entering the inner church inner area.
• Photography: Do not take pictures or videos. The inside of a church with an enshrined deity can be photographed only in the outer courtyard.

หลังจากที่ได้เยี่ยมชมและไหว้พระที่วัดพระศรีมหาอุมาเทวี (วัดแขก สีลม) มาแล้ว ก็อยากแชร์ประสบการณ์และทริคดีๆ ที่ช่วยให้การไปไหว้ครั้งนั้นเต็มเปี่ยมไปด้วยความศรัทธาและเป็นมงคลมากขึ้น สิ่งแรกที่ชอบคือบรรยากาศของวัดที่ค่อนข้างสงบและให้ความรู้สึกขลัง แม้ว่าจะตั้งอยู่ใจกลางเมืองกรุงเทพฯ ก็ตาม ตอนเดินเข้าวัดรู้สึกได้ถึงพลังงานดี ๆ จากองค์เทพหลายองค์ที่ประดิษฐานในโบสถ์ ซึ่งแต่ละองค์เทพก็มีความหมายและพลังอำนาจเฉพาะตัว เช่น พระแม่ศรีมหาอุมาเทวีที่โดดเด่นเรื่องความรักและครอบครัว, พระพิฆเนศที่ช่วยขจัดอุปสรรคและเพิ่มความสำเร็จในหน้าที่การงาน หรือพระแม่ลักษมีที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเงินทองและโชคลาภ แนะนำให้เตรียมใจและทำความเข้าใจในข้อห้ามต่าง ๆ เพื่อความศักดิ์สิทธิ์และความเคารพสถานที่อย่างแท้จริง เช่น ห้ามนำเนื้อสัตว์เข้าไปในเขตวัด และผู้หญิงที่มีประจำเดือนควรงดเข้าพื้นที่โบสถ์ชั้นใน ซึ่งตรงนี้ผู้เขียนพบว่าเป็นสิ่งที่ช่วยให้บรรยากาศภายในวัดดูน่าเลื่อมใสและสงบมากขึ้น สำหรับการปฏิบัติตนตอนไหว้ แนะนำให้ซื้อชุดของไหว้สำเร็จรูปตามงบประมาณที่สะดวก เพราะจะมีธูป เทียน และผลไม้ที่เหมาะกับพิธีอย่างครบถ้วน การจุดธูปเทียนต้องทำด้านนอกโบสถ์เท่านั้น เพื่อป้องกันควันที่อาจรบกวนพิธีและรักษาสภาพแวดล้อมภายใน นอกจากนี้ พราหมณ์ที่ทำพิธีก็จะเป็นผู้จัดการเรื่องเจิมหน้าผากและคืนของทิพย์กลับบ้าน ซึ่งของที่ได้นี้มีความหมายพิเศษและควรนำกลับมาเพื่อเสริมสิริมงคล ส่วนหนึ่งคือ น้ำน้ำมนต์ หรือจลประซาด ที่เชื่อกันว่าช่วยในเรื่องโชคลาภและความเป็นมงคล ในส่วนของการเดินทาง มองว่าการใช้รถไฟฟ้า BTS หรือ MRT ค่อนข้างสะดวกและประหยัดเวลา เพราะบริเวณวัดไม่มีที่จอดรถยนต์ อีกทั้งถนนสีลมในช่วงที่ไปค่อนข้างแออัด หากเลือกลงสถานีเซนต์หลุยส์แล้วเดินตามถนนสีลมประมาณ 5 นาที ก็ถึงวัดง่าย ๆ หรือจะลง MRT สีลมและต่อวินมอเตอร์ไซค์ก็ได้ การแต่งกายก่อนเข้าวัดก็สำคัญมาก ควรสวมเสื้อแขนยาวและกางเกงหรือกระโปรงที่คลุมถึงเข่า เพื่อแสดงความเคารพตามธรรมเนียมฮินดู และอย่าลืมเตรียมน้ำดื่มหรือนมกลับบ้านจากวัดด้วย เนื่องจากถือเป็นของมงคลและประทานจากองค์เทพ สุดท้ายอยากให้ทุกคนที่สนใจสายมูและวัฒนธรรมฮินดูลองแวะมาเยี่ยมชมวัดแขกสีลมแห่งนี้ด้วยตัวเอง เพราะนอกจากจะได้สัมผัสประสบการณ์ที่แปลกใหม่และเสริมมงคลแล้ว ยังได้เรียนรู้ความศรัทธาและวัฒนธรรมของชาวฮินดูในไทยอีกด้วย แนะนำให้ใช้เวลาสักนิดทำความเข้าใจในแต่ละองค์เทพ เพื่อขอพรได้อย่างตรงจุดและได้ผลลัพธ์ที่ต้องการ ขอให้ทุกท่านโชคดีและสุขสมหวังในการปฏิบัติและเดินทางครับ!
