When I first visited these cities, I started collecting small mementos such as postcards marked “AIR MAIL” and vintage hotel stationery from places like Hotel Mac Mahon. These little finds became the foundation for my travel junk journal. I loved capturing the essence of Paris with its famous landmarks—like the Eiffel Tower—and indulging in local pastries while journaling my experiences. Italy offered stunning backdrops, from historic cities to quaint cafes, perfect for scrapbooking tickets, brochures, and handwritten notes. Using tactile materials, such as textured papers and washi tape, brought my travel memories to life, making the journey much more memorable. For beginners interested in junk journaling during travels, I recommend starting with simple items you can collect without disrupting your experience: ticket stubs, napkins, postcards, or small maps. Don’t worry about making it perfect—junk journaling is personal and meant to capture your unique story. Incorporating travel-themed stickers and stamps with words like “enjoy the journey” also adds an uplifting touch. Not only does this creative outlet help to preserve memories, but it also provides a relaxing way to reflect on your adventures during downtime. Whether you visit Paris, Italy, or any other beautiful destination, junk journaling is a gratifying way to combine travel with creativity.
