Using fresh herbs, spices, or even a squeeze of lemon can bring those simple meals to life without added effort. I also recommend prepping key ingredients ahead of time. Chopping vegetables or marinating proteins in advance saves valuable minutes when it's time to cook. This habit has helped me maintain the joy of simple meals without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
