I tested Imaginary Authors perfumes thinking I would LOVE niche fragrances… and I learned the hard way that not everything works for me 👀

Some of these smelled amazing at first…

but the drydown changed everything 😭

✨ What I discovered about my taste:

I love soft, fruity, fresh and feminine scents

I don’t like woody, smoky, heavy or syrupy perfumes

💖 My favorites:

🍑 Yesterday Haze — creamy, soft, smells like clean sweet skin

🍑 First Peach of the Season — juicy, fresh, super easy to wear

💔 Almost perfect:

🍊 In Love With Everything — beautiful at first but the sandalwood ruined it for me

😅 Not for me:

🌲 Cape Heartache — too green/pine

🪵 Memoirs — too woody/masculine

🍯 Waffle Cone — too syrupy sweet

Plot twist:

🌿 Saint Julep (I didn’t even order it) ended up being one of the ones I liked

Niche perfumes are NOT always safe blind buys
