rest day today hehehe, havent hit the gym for more than a week and eating like crap, my motivation drop sm omg 😭 gotta hit the gym soon, and my calories counter app has closed so i wont be tracking anym 😓 lets js hope i hit my protein goal hehe
Taking rest days can sometimes evolve into longer breaks that affect motivation and progress, as I recently experienced. Missing the gym for over a week and indulging in less nutritious food made me feel off track, especially without a calorie counting app to monitor my intake. However, I found that focusing on simple goals, like hitting my protein intake, keeps me grounded. In moments when technology fails, such as my calorie app suddenly closing, returning to the basics—like mindful eating and listening to my body's hunger cues—can be very effective. Tracking macros doesn’t have to be exact every day; small consistent efforts matter. Also, embracing realistic expectations helps maintain motivation. It’s normal to have fluctuations in diet and exercise, and giving myself permission to rest without guilt has improved my mental outlook. For anyone feeling this slump, I recommend setting small, achievable targets, mixing up your workout routine to keep it interesting, and maybe exploring healthy snack alternatives inspired by products like Beryl's Mond Bittersweet Chocolate or Hi-Chew, which satisfy cravings without excess additives. Most importantly, being patient and kind to yourself during these phases can make all the difference in long-term fitness success.
