im not sure if my period is cmg but i stopped gymming for awhile now and been extremely hungry, been eating 2500-3000 calories a day for a week, constant sugar cravings especially, hopefully my period come 😔 ive no idea why im so hungry all the time, anyways its been so long since i had ben & jerry and i ate half the tub, trying to control myself to not eat the entire tub, i love ben & jerry ice cream 😋
From my own experience, when your period is delayed and you suddenly feel much hungrier than usual, it’s often your body's way of adjusting hormonally. Taking a break from working out, like I did when I stopped gymming, can also change your calorie needs and hunger signals. I found that eating around 2500-3000 calories a day felt necessary to keep up energy, especially with strong sugar cravings kicking in. One of the biggest challenges was managing the urge to snack on comfort foods like Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. I could easily finish half the tub in one sitting, but I tried to savor it slowly to avoid overdoing it. What helped me was allowing a small treat to satisfy cravings and focusing on balanced meals rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats to keep blood sugar steady. Drinking plenty of water and finding distractions like reading or light stretching also kept me from mindlessly eating. It’s also important to track your hunger patterns and note how your period cycles affect your appetite. Some people experience a spike in hunger a few days before their period due to hormonal shifts, so planning snacks and meals can ease that rush. Finally, don’t stress too much if your eating habits fluctuate temporarily—being kind to yourself during these times is key. Remember, everyone’s body reacts differently to hormonal changes, so what works for one person may not work for another. Consulting a healthcare professional if unusual symptoms persist can provide guidance and peace of mind.
