1. Wait for all seniors or guests to be ready first.
Starting a meal first is considered disrespectful. It is best to wait for all adults or guests to be ready and then start eating.
2. Chew the food successfully before speaking.
Speaking with chewing food or chewing loudly is often considered impolite. All food should be swallowed before talking.
3. Avoid reaching for things across others.
If food or equipment is far away, someone closer should be asked to deliver it rather than reach in front of others.
4. Use the napkin the right way
When starting to sit, the napkin should be placed on the lap, and if one has to get up off the table, put the cloth on the chair. It should not be placed on the dining table.
