Today, we got our first puppy in our 20’s. He’s a Australian shepherd. We named him corporal. So far he’s really scared and not sure. I hope he warms up soon. He’s our little valentines pup and a early birthday present for me. #aussieshepherd #valentines #summerdiary #lemon8contest

As you welcome Corporal, it’s essential to create a safe environment where he feels secure. Consider setting up a cozy space with a comfortable bed and toys to explore. Gradually introduce him to various sounds and sights to help him acclimate. Patience is key; it may take a few days for him to feel at ease, especially in a new environment. Socialization is vital, so let him meet different people in a calm setting. This will help build his confidence and foster a strong bond with you. Remember to incorporate positive reinforcement when he exhibits brave behavior. By nurturing your puppy's emotional well-being, you will set the foundation for a lifelong friendship filled with love and joy. Enjoy your journey as a new pup parent!
