If you're a fan of the iconic anime, you know how much detail goes into her style, and I wanted to capture that perfectly. My inspiration for this look came directly from Hachi's unique blend of innocence and edgy fashion. When pulling together the outfit, I started with the basics. For the top, I searched for a crisp white collared shirt. The key was finding one that could subtly incorporate an anime-inspired design, similar to the black line art drawing of an anime character often seen in Nana’s aesthetic. If you can’t find one, a simple white shirt with a fabric marker or iron-on patch can work wonders! Next up was the jewelry. Of course, the red heart pendant is practically synonymous with Vivienne Westwood and the Nana universe. I found a similar piece online, but thrifting for vintage heart pendants can also yield amazing results. It's such a small detail but adds so much character. I also made sure to include a pink-stoned ring on one hand and went for a sleek gold nail polish to tie together the glam rock vibe that's so prevalent in the series. For the bottoms, I opted for some comfy yet stylish light pink pants. Hachi often has these softer, more feminine touches that contrast beautifully with the punk elements. Don't be afraid to experiment with different shades of pink to find what feels right for your interpretation! Now, let’s talk about the face! The unique geometric glasses were probably the hardest piece to track down, but they're essential for Hachi's signature look. I scoured vintage shops and online eyewear stores until I found a pair that perfectly matched her vibe. And for makeup, I focused on a soft yet striking pink eyeshadow look. It’s all about blending and getting that dreamy, slightly melancholic gaze that Hachi is famous for. If you have light brown hair and bangs like me, styling them to frame your face just right will complete the transformation. A little hairspray and patience go a long way! Putting this cosplay together was a true labor of love, and each piece felt like I was stepping further into Hachi's shoes. It’s not just about the clothes; it's about embodying her spirit and connection to Nana. I hope this breakdown helps fellow Nana fans who are looking to create their own Hachi-inspired looks or just want to appreciate the intricate fashion of the series. What are your favorite Nana fashion moments? Let me know!
