Healthier Caramel and dark chocolate candy bar!! These are made with only Whole Foods, no dairy or refined sugar and extra protein!

Ingredients:

-1/4 cup Vanilla protein powder

-1/4 cup almond flour

-2 tbs coconut flour

-pinch of salt

-1/2 cup almond butter

-2 tbs coconut oil

-2 tsp vanilla

-3 tbs maple syrup

-4-5 dates

-sugar free dark chocolate chips

Cookie Dough

-In a medium bowl combine one scoop or 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder, 1/4 cup almond flour, and 2 tbs of coconut flour, a pinch of salt and whisk thoroughly.

-In a small bowl add the almond butter, 2 tbsp maple syrup, vanilla, 1 tbs melted coconut oil and stir until combined.

-Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir with a spatula until a dough like consistency is formed. You should be able to press the dough into a ball and it can hold its shape. If it is too dry add another spoonful of coconut oil and almond butter. Add 1/4 cup or desired amount of dark chocolate chips. Press the dough into a lined small baking sheet until it is evenly dispersed in a rectangular shape.

Date Caramel

-Microwave a cup of water for a minute then place the 4-5 pitted dates into the hot water to soak until soft.( usually 2-3 mins)

-Mash the soften dates and 1tbs maple syrup on a plate until a smooth/caramel consistency is made.

-Spread the date caramel evenly on the cookie dough.

Chocolate Shell

-Microwave 1 tbs coconut oil and 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips for 45sec-1 min or until melted. Stir until fully combined and pour over the cookie dough and date caramel. Top with a sprinkle of sea salt and place in the freezer to harden. Move the candy bars to the fridge 15 mins before enjoying!
