I’m drowning in character art

Ok don’t get me wrong I love getting my publisher mail and PR but we gotta start giving different stuff.

I understand that it makes sense to give a bookmark with your book but I am someone who, if the bookmark as art or book title, I’m probably only going to use it for that book.

I want to keep everything but I don’t know what to do with all of it.

Send ideas please

... Read moreIf you're like many avid book lovers and content creators, receiving heaps of character art, bookmarks, and other book-related merchandise can quickly become overwhelming. While bookmarks featuring book titles or artwork are often cherished, they tend to be used for only one book, which can leave you with piles of items that feel unused or cluttered. One way to approach this is by repurposing the character art and merch in ways that add value or joy beyond their original intent. For example, consider turning character art into personalized decor items: frame some of your favorite pieces to create a rotating gallery wall focused on your beloved book worlds. This not only beautifully displays your collection but also makes your reading space cozy and inspiring. Additionally, bookmarks and art can be used as unique wrapping paper or gift tags for fellow book lovers, turning your excess stash into thoughtful, eco-friendly gifts. Stickers or smaller merch items can personalize notebooks, laptops, or phone cases, making everyday items feel customized and special. For artists and creators receiving publisher mail, sharing highlights on social media or in online book communities can also be rewarding. It helps build relationships and may inspire conversations around favorite characters and books, adding social value to the merch. If storage is a concern, investing in dedicated organizers or boxes can keep your collection neat while preserving the items you treasure most. Consider rotating what you display seasonally or by your current reading interests to keep things fresh. Lastly, don't hesitate to connect with fellow book enthusiasts to swap or donate items you don't use. Community exchanges can help spread the joy of book merch and decrease waste. Embracing the abundance of book merch creatively can transform the feeling of being "drowned" in character art into an opportunity for meaningful expression and community connection. The key lies in finding ways to cherish and utilize your collection that resonate with your personal interests and lifestyle.

Ok first off I would LOVE to get PR boxes! If I had all of this book merch I would probably frame the really cool character art and maybe to like a book vision board of the rest…. Keychains, I’d give them to my 8 year old, she loves shit like that. Stickers, I put them inside my kindle clear case.
