Did you like this book?
I was honestly so disappointed. I loved the shepherd King geology and so I was really excited for this but I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t connect with the characters and it just felt sooo repetitive. I wish we had a few time skips to help with that but I understand why the author didn’t.

If you've read Brandon Sanderson's ‘‘The Knight and The Moth,’’ you might have noticed its connection to the larger Cosmere universe, including the 'Stormlight Archive' and other works like 'Empire of Storms' and 'Queen of Shadows.' Many fans are drawn to Sanderson's intricate world-building and complex characters, which are signature to novels such as ‘‘Throne of Glass’’ and ‘‘Heir of Fire.’’ Despite this appeal, some readers find ‘‘The Knight and The Moth’’ challenging in terms of emotional engagement because the story’s pace is deliberate and focuses heavily on the lore and background rather than fast-moving plot or character development. This can lead to feelings of repetitiveness or difficulty connecting with the characters, especially when the narrative stays grounded in a continuous timeline without significant time skips. For those who appreciate Sanderson’s detailed geology of worlds and layered storytelling, this novel offers rich content but demands patience. Time skips, which some readers crave, are intentionally avoided to maintain immersion in the protagonist’s personal journey and the gradual unfolding of events. As a community of book lovers, sharing honest reviews like this helps others decide whether this style matches their reading preferences. If you're a fan of epic fantasy with a focus on intricate settings and legends, this book might still be worth your time, but if you prefer fast-paced narratives or deep character arcs early on, this could feel slow or repetitive. Engaging with forums and hashtags such as #lemon8bookworm, #BookReview, #theknightandthemoth, and #shepherdkingseries can also provide diverse perspectives and enrich your reading experience as you dive into the Cosmere.

Welp guess I’m not buying this book. I had very high hopes because of The Shepard Kings series, but I absolutely can’t stand repetition in books
