Infinity Hoop Challenge!
Hello everyone!!
I am working on completing the Infinity Hoop 30 day challenge. It’s gotten off to a rocky start, I will say. I started on June 30th got 4 solid days in, took a nice trip to Brown County, IN and walked all over the place so I took a day off from it. Then the next day my back went ka-put and I’ve been nursing it back to health. It’s been a rollercoaster and it’s only the first week and a half lol 😂 I did my first one since my back went out today, so I think I’m back on course!!!
Here’s to hoping that this challenge helps me out in so many ways!!
Hey everyone! If you're anything like me, you've probably seen the Infinity Hoop Challenge popping up all over your feeds and wondered if it's really worth the hype. I jumped in headfirst with the 30-day challenge, and let me tell you, it's been an interesting ride so far! My goal with this challenge isn't just about fitness; it's also about building consistency and finding a fun way to move my body daily. When I first started, I was super excited, ready to conquer the world one hoop spin at a time. But quickly, I realized it's not always as smooth as the videos make it look. My first few days involved a lot of what felt like 'awkward counting' – trying to keep the hoop going, finding my rhythm, and just getting the hang of the motion. It's totally normal if you feel a bit clumsy at first! Don't get discouraged if the hoop keeps dropping or it feels like you're just flailing around; that's part of the learning curve. One of the biggest hurdles I faced early on was an unexpected back issue. After a few solid days, a trip involving a lot of walking, and then suddenly, my back decided to protest! It was a real setback and made me question if I could even continue. This experience really highlighted the importance of listening to your body. If you're feeling pain, it's crucial to take a break, stretch, and perhaps consult a professional if it persists. Pushing through pain can do more harm than good, and a few days of rest is always better than a prolonged injury. I’ve been doing gentle stretches and modifying my routine to ensure I don't aggravate it further. Getting back on track after a break can be tough, especially when you've lost some momentum. My advice? Just start again! Don't beat yourself up for missing a day or even a week. The goal is progress, not perfection. Today, I finally got back to hooping, and even though it felt a bit rusty, it felt good to move. Consistency is key, and sometimes that means forgiving yourself for a missed day and just picking up where you left off. For anyone else considering or currently doing the Infinity Hoop Challenge, here are a few tips I've picked up: Start Slow: Don't try to do too much too soon. Begin with shorter sessions and gradually increase your time as your body adjusts. Watch Your Form: There are tons of videos online that demonstrate proper form. Focusing on your core and keeping your movements controlled can prevent discomfort. Listen to Your Body: This is probably the most important one. If something hurts, stop. Rest, stretch, and reassess. Check Your Equipment: Make sure your hoop is properly assembled and functioning. Sometimes, issues can arise if parts aren't securely connected. Stay Hydrated: Always a good idea, especially when you're exercising. Find Your Motivation: Whether it's tracking your progress, a workout buddy, or just feeling good, remember why you started. This challenge is definitely a journey with its ups and downs, but I’m hopeful it will help me build better habits and strengthen my core. Here’s to hoping we all see great results and keep our infinity hoops spinning!
