... Read moreAs someone with 1B hair, which tends to be straight and sometimes frizzy, I've found that choosing the right hair mask can make a significant difference in the health and appearance of my hair. Both the Unove Deep Damage Repair Hair Mask and the Bio Keratin Hair Mask have become staples in my hair care routine, especially during seasons when dryness and damage are more pronounced. What I appreciate about the Unove mask is its intense repair capability combined with hydration. It does not just treat the surface; it works deeply to mend damage, which is essential for hair like mine that has a medium thickness and tends to be a bit dry. Plus, the scent is a lovely bonus that leaves my hair smelling fresh and clean. The $11 price point at Sephora is reasonable considering the results. On the other hand, the Bio Keratin mask, which I picked up at T.J. Maxx for $7.99, is a fantastic option for adding softness and a glossy finish. Enriched with keratin protein, it’s particularly effective for dry and damaged hair. I’ve noticed that it helps with managing frizz and restores some of the shine my hair loses over time. Applying these masks is straightforward—I always use them after my conditioner in the shower and leave them on for about 5 minutes, just enough time to feel them working without weighing down my hair. For those with low porosity hair like mine, these masks manage to penetrate gently without causing buildup, which is a common concern. Overall, incorporating these hair masks into your routine can transform dry, damaged 1B hair, making it appear healthier and more vibrant. If you’re struggling with dryness or damage, I highly recommend trying these budget-friendly options to see noticeable improvements in softness, strength, and glossiness.

I definitely have to check this out. My hair is so long and sometimes I get really tangled. I’ve been using the Marc Anthony detangler. I really like that one.
