I was disappointed… until I learned how to use it

I’ll be honest — my first reaction to this palette was disappointment.

Luxury products are usually not very intense, and this one is no exception. The glow is very soft, delicate… and at first, all shades looked almost the same to me.

But once I understood how to use it — I completely changed my opinion.

This palette is not about bold highlight. It’s about that “expensive skin” glow.

My favorite shade is the peach one (you can see it’s the most used). It’s very finely milled, almost silky, and gives a soft, wet-looking glow without looking too obvious.

It works beautifully for summer makeup, beach photos, and especially bridal looks.

I also use it on shoulders and décolleté — apply it over slightly moisturized skin, and it gives a really красивый sun-kissed effect.

Another trick: apply the peach shade first in areas where you plan to use blush or bronzer. It smooths the skin and prevents patchiness when layering powder products.

The highlighter shades are also great — more golden for tanned skin, more pink-toned for lighter skin. No chunky glitter, just a soft glow.

The bronzer is not very strong on its own, but I like using it on top of a matte bronzer to add dimension.

And the staying power surprised me — I literally went into the water, and my makeup still looked good.

These photos show before and after editing on iPhone — both look nice, but with a bit more contrast, the result looks more polished.

... Read moreWhen I first tried the Dior palette, I felt the glow was too subtle compared to typical highlighters. However, over time, I realized its true charm lies in how it creates a natural, radiant complexion rather than a flashy highlight. One thing I discovered is that prepping the skin properly makes all the difference. Applying a light moisturizer or hydrating primer before the palette ensures the pigments blend seamlessly and deliver that coveted sun-kissed effect, especially on shoulders and décolleté areas. This approach helps maintain a fresh, dewy finish without looking glittery. I also found that layering this palette with other matte bronzers helps build dimension without overpowering the softness of the glow. For example, using the peach shade as a base where you’ll add blush or bronzer prevents patchiness, creating a smoother, airbrushed look. Beyond makeup application, I’ve enjoyed experimenting with how this palette performs under different lighting and photography setups. Slight adjustments in contrast on my phone’s editing app enhance the palette’s effect in photos, making skin look polished yet natural—a perfect trick for casual beauty shots or social media posts. If you’re looking for a highlighter that works subtly for everyday wear but also shines in wedding or summer beach looks, I highly recommend exploring this palette with a patient and experimental mindset. It’s not about bold statements but about achieving that elegant “lit-from-within” glow that luxury beauty often promises. Lastly, the surprisingly impressive staying power, even after water contact, makes it ideal for long days or special occasions where you want your glow to last without frequent touch-ups. This durability combined with the delicate finish makes the Dior palette a versatile addition to any beauty routine.
