Easy slow cooker recipe

I have never loved my slow cooker more in my life!

My rule is a few veggies (whatever you have in the fridge or freezer)

A base - I chose to use @mingleseasoning tacos seasoning

And a can of tomatoes as it required a tomato-y base. Then add a protein, mice, striped breast whatever floats your boat

And every time I’ve used this method its turned out amazing!

PS the best canned or diced tomatoes are @muttipomodoroau you guys know Mutti is the only tomatoes I’ll use in my kitchen.

- also if you want a creamy base basically add 250ml to 300ml thickened cream into the slow cooker and then with a mixture of 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water into your slow cooker at the very end and mix well. Let it sit for 39 mins before serving

Let me know if you use this method in your slow cooking.

I’ve found that the beauty of slow cooking lies in its flexibility and convenience. The method described here—combining whatever fresh or frozen vegetables you have with a flavorful seasoning base and canned tomatoes—allows for endless variations suited to your pantry and taste preferences. One tip that always elevates the flavor is choosing high-quality canned tomatoes like Mutti brand, known for their rich and authentic tomato taste. When I'm in a hurry, adding a pre-mixed taco seasoning such as @mingleseasoning offers a quick way to inject bold, delicious flavors without the hassle of measuring multiple spices. For those who prefer a creamier dish, incorporating thickened cream towards the end of cooking really changes the texture and adds comforting richness. Mixing in a cornstarch slurry helps thicken the sauce perfectly before serving, making the dish feel more luxurious yet still simple to prepare. Protein options are flexible—chicken breast, mince, or even beans can work well depending on your dietary needs. One of my favorite combinations is chicken enchiladas-style slow cooker meals, which pair beautifully with the creamy tomato base and taco spices. Overall, this slow cooker approach is a lifesaver for making nourishing, hearty meals with minimal effort. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to eat home-cooked meals without spending tons of time cooking every day. If you haven’t tried this method yet, I highly recommend experimenting with different veggies and proteins—it’s a fun and easy way to keep dinner exciting. And don’t forget to share your favorite slow cooker combos; it’s great to exchange ideas with others who love easy yet tasty meals!
