I’m Natalie And this is my story…

I’m not usually this vulnerable, but our testimony is a tool for spreading the goodness of God and the great works he can do. I’m going to start by simply saying God performed just 1 of his many miracles. Why do I say this? Well let’s dig a little deeper. On January 19, 2024 was the end of one life and the start of a new one. I have realized that speaking about God, being the ultimate healer, has caused very harsh words to be said, but that is exactly why I want to dig deeper. It has been brought to my attention that the TBI I had was not only a moderate to severe, on a scale, but one of the worst ones to have. I have been told by nurses that they have never seen someone with a moderate to severe DAI brain injury make a rapid recovery like I did, as well as, less than a 5% chance of survival. The worst thing I gained from it was short term memory. For someone who has been to two neurological rehabs for physical, speech & occupational therapy i understand that now. Next I had ARDS(Acute respiratory distress syndrome) and went septic. I was then put on a machine sent by the grace of God from one hospital to where I was. ECMO. I was then cannulated at the hospital I was at first, by the team who flew down and air flighted to that hospital. From the end of January and all of February I was in a medically induced coma, when I was moved to Baylor Scott and White which was the biggest blessing ever. During my coma I truly believe I had a glimpse of hell, which I have a video on TikTok about that(to an extent). I was so close to death and no one will ever realize just how close, but God. A witness. A walking testimony. God didn’t just save and rescue me from a near death experience, but He saved me from so many things, that I was doing wrong, with ONE huge experience. I’ve had multiple situations in the past that have happened with and to me and every single time God tried to grab my attention, but I didn’t care. I never listened. I knew all along who Jesus was, but I didn’t KNOW Him. What happened to me was the biggest blessing in disguise. Until people sit with me, talk with me and know me as the person I am now they will always view me strictly as my past and that’s what the enemy wants, but God has and will allow me to use the ugly, messy parts of my past to be the meat of my testimony. The day of my wreck God had his hand in the midst of it all.

I hit rock bottom, but what I want to get across is that I had to hit rock bottom in my life to be where and who I am today. Jesus is the rock at the bottom. This wasn’t an overnight change. I’ve been pricked and poked at for years. Mistake after mistake. Regret after regret. Time after time. The thing is that I wasn’t ready to turn my life around. I was so comfortable where I was at in life, since it felt so good to the flesh, that I didn’t care about my spirit and where my final destination would be for eternity. I was running from God. I went into my car accident as a broken, lost and desperate girl and I came out of my coma as a put together & full of life Natalie. I want people to know that it doesn’t matter how far gone you are. I can promise you I see you, hear you and understand you if that is the way you feel. I went through things that play into my testimony that should have changed my life in those moments, but i was too consumed by others and pleasing that person rather than God. When I was baptized on September 15, 2024 I went under that water with all my messiness and came out of it renewed. I can’t wait to start a channel/platform where I can tell all the truths God has shown me the past year. All glory to God for fully restoring & putting me in a waiting season to grow a stronger relationship with Him!
