Not a Single Person to Call…No One Drive Me Home
I didn’t expect this to hit me so hard, but it did. I’m 28, and I just found out I need my wisdom teeth removed. The dental surgeon said I’d need someone to drive me home afterward because of the sedation. I froze. I literally had no one to call.
No parents (my mom passed, my dad’s in the hospital). My sister lives abroad. My friends have drifted away. My ex is long gone. I even texted an old best friend, and she just left me on read.
So there I was, having to tell the dentist I had nobody. Not a single person. They wouldn’t let me do the procedure with sedation, so now I’m facing it completely awake.
It’s such a small thing, but it made me realize how truly alone I am right now.
Have you ever had a “small moment” that suddenly showed you how lonely you are? How would you do in those circumstances?

I was in same situation a long time ago. I ended up calling my ex boyfriend and as a decent human being, he did and helped me home and up to bed. I was shocked when I woke up later and he was downstairs watching tv. He gave me instructions nurse told him on meds and told me he would be around that week if I needed help. I was shocked.
