JEPI19 vs INETREIT If you want a dividend, what do you choose?
When it comes to assets that many people are interested in because they want "consistent portfolio money," the names of JEPI19 and INETREIT are another worth comparing.
Both have the same cash flow highlights, but actually very different structures and risks.
What is JEPI19?
JEPI19 is a DR that references a foreign ETF named JEPI or JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF.
In other words, we bought JEPI19 in the Thai market, but the real assets were on the American side.
The highlight of JEPI is that it focuses on generating cash flow from U.S. stocks and using Options strategies to help increase revenue for the portfolio, so it suits people who want cash flow from international markets.
But what needs to be understood is that JEPI19 is not a typical Thai dividend stock, because it is risky by the U.S. stock market, the dollar value, and the structure of DR / ETFs that is more complex than buying Thai stock.
What is INETREIT?
INETREIT is a Thai trust that invests in Data Center Group assets.
In other words, it is an investment in real estate and data center-related infrastructure, which has the main income from rent or income from assets invested by the trust.
The highlight of INETREIT is that it is a Thai asset, trading for baht, not having to worry about the dollar directly, and the Data Center theme is a business related to the digital world, the cloud, and the growing use of data.
But a precaution is that INETREITs also carry REIT risks such as tenant risk, rental income, interest, liabilities, contract extensions and future asset values.
Differences to know
JEPI19 suits people who want to receive cash flow from the American stock market and risk money and Options strategies.
INETREIT is suitable for people who want cash flow from assets in Thailand, easier to understand in currency terms, and interested in the Data Center theme.
If you look at it easily, INETREIT may be easier to understand because it trades in baht and is a trust in Thailand.
But looking at the distribution abroad, JEPI19 may be more interesting because it refers to the American ETF.
And which one is suitable for who?
If someone wants to invest abroad, wants cash flow from U.S. stocks, and can take currency risks with ETF / Options structures, JEPI19 might be better suited.
But if someone wants to invest in Thailand, wants to have a REIT asset in the Data Center, and doesn't want to deal directly with foreign currency, INETREIT might be more problematic.
