My Family’s Chicken Paprikash with Galuskas

This is one of my favorite traditional meals, passed down from my grandmother and filled with comfort, warmth, and heritage.

We start by simmering bone-in chicken to build a deep, flavorful stock. Then we add sweet pearl onions, carrots, and golden yellow onions, followed by a generous spoonful of authentic sweet Hungarian paprika.

The sauce is creamy and tangy, made with white wine and sour cream for a rich but balanced flavor.

What truly completes the dish is the galuskas. These hand-made Hungarian noodles are soft, buttery, and just salty enough to absorb every drop of that delicious sauce.
